Mauricio Bendeck
Co-Founder & CEO Mauricio gazes above the stars to come up with visionary and relevant uses of mobile technologies birthing mobile vibration as the lexicon for communications in noisy and in discrete environments. Mauricio is leading our design, sales and marketplace activities. Before founding Tractouch Mobile, he was the General Manager for VAS Americas for the mobile messaging platform business with mobile network operators. Prior to that, Mauricio led market development for XIUS-bcgi leading the Near Field Communications (NFC) pilots, prepaid roaming, and M2M/IoT business for The Americas. At Telcordia Technologies (Bell Labs/Bellcore) led Latin American business for charging, Location Based Systems, Mobile Virtual Network Operator and Mobile Advertising. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded Permita focusing on M2M, Mobile Payments, and Electronic Toll Collection, and at Livfre, privacy as a business, challenging the personal data and financial institutions who trade our personal information with whomever pays. Previously, Mauricio was the Global Director and founder of Motorola's Financial Services $200M valued practice where his team focused on serving the needs of Mobile Network Operators and financial institutions for payment systems, disaster recovery and security. Mauricio has worked with Fortune 500 companies in The Americas, Europe and Asia focusing on mobile financial services, personal privacy, security, payment systems and M2M. Mauricio has two payment audio, visual and payment patent technologies. Mauricio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. |
Jaime Borras
Co-Founder & CTO Jaime has touched every boundary of embedded communications, and is the hard-core technologist who is leading and working on making our innovation possible. He is an accomplished technologist with a record of 41 patents. Jaime Borras served as the Chief Operating Officer of GenerationOne, Inc. Jaime is a pioneer and innovator in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry. He is highly regarded for his innovation and operational leadership in taking new technologies to market. He excelled up the technical leadership ranks at Motorola since the introduction of the first generation cellular phone. He led the technology efforts of the MOTOHEALTH, Motorola's division focused on creating an interactive experience that enabled individuals to be proactive about their well being and designed to improve efficiency and productivity in health organizations. He served as Motorola's Senior Fellow for 4G WiMAX Group, Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the iDEN Mobile Devices, a multi-billion dollar handset business. He serves as Chairperson of the Florida Atlantic University Industry Advisory Board and a member of the Florida International University IAB. He was appointed a Dan Noble Fellow and elected to the Motorola Science Advisory Board and also elected President of the Latino Business Council. He is a Master Innovator with 42 US utility patents, over 30 technical publications and international speeches. Jaime holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, a Master degree in Electrical Engineering, a Business diploma from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. |
Scott Garrett
Patent Law Counsel Scott leads our intellectual property strategy who has been engaged in patent practice for over 20 years, including both corporate in-house and private practice roles. As a patent engineer/agent/attorney for Motorola, Scott prepared and prosecuted patent applications for inventions in all fields of technology related to telecommunications, mobile communications, wireless networking, power electronics, rechargeable battery systems, and more. Scott was also key in leading business units in increasing patent filings by training engineers and technologists, reviewing product designs, and counseling patent committees in reviewing invention disclosures for possible patent filings. Also in this role Scott was key in directing decisions with regard to budgets for patent filings, prosecution, and maintenance, as well as foreign filing. In private practice Scott expanded his technology base to include enterprise software and computer architectures, messaging systems, acoustics, and many others, as well as trademark practice. Scott has been instrumental in counseling both start-up ventures and established firms in identifying patentable inventions and protection strategies. Prior to his work in patents Scott was an electrical engineer for Motorola and worked in product design and development, including circuit design, software design, testing, and regulatory compliance. As an engineer Scott generated numerous invention disclosures which resulted in 16 U.S. patents, and was recognized as a Master Innovator. Scott holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering, from Florida Atlantic University, and his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University School of Law. |
Dean G. Anthon
Corporate Law Counsel and Finance Dean leads our corporate law and financial matters where he has over 15 years of investment experience, predominately in the leveraged buy-out and private equity markets. Dean is a principal of Sophance, an efficient on-site distributed energy and water treatment solutions company. Prior to Sophance, Dean was the Chief Investment Officer of Sundance Capital Management, primarily responsible for the investment philosophy and decisions of the hedge fund's investment products. During Internet 1.0, Dean was an associate and business development manager with Puntocom Holdings, a Buenos Aires, Argentina-based holding company involved in making equity investments in Latin American technology companies. Before venturing-out in his travels, Dean was an associate with Sun Capital Partners, a Florida-based leveraged buy-out firm. He was a Managing Director of LivFre LLC, a privately held, information privacy advocacy start-up venture. Dean lived and worked in South America for over 10 years and is fluent in Spanish. Dean holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. |
Alain Edwards
Embedded Engineer Alain is the driving force to make our embedded technologies function. He is a versatile Computer Engineer with a curious mind who loves to “dabble” and invent prototypes and cutting edge technological devices. His first love is centered on writing code to solve problems and implement systems. He is really an Embedded Systems Engineer at heart, who works in both hardware and software. To that, he is doing research with Tecore Professor, Dr Majoub at FAU to conduct research on IEEE 1609 protocol standard for Vehicle to Vehicle Communication. Alain has also worked on numerous projects such as healthcare system (FIHR V3), Mobile Applications (Android & IOS), Linux Kernel Development. He has a lifelong goal to “change the world through technology.” Alain holds a Certificate in Small Business Management from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Science degree, Cum Laude, in Electrical Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, and currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. |
